Cycling holidays in England & Wales UKBicycle Beano Cycling Holidays explore the idyllic country lanes of the Snowdonia and Pembrokeshire Coast national parks in Wales, and the Welsh Borders in England. This is a cyclist's paradise with dramatic seascapes, rugged mountains, picturesque villages and lush green valleys – criss-crossed by a maze of peaceful lanes with hardly a car in sight.
Each day we do a moderately-paced 35 to 40-mile main route, returning to the same venue every evening. Short cuts and longer detours are available on most days, so you can choose how far you ride – anything from 30 to 60 miles depending on how you feel. Specially designed maps and route sheets allow you to cycle at your own pace, either with a group or on your own if you prefer. We all meet up at lunchtime hostelries and afternoon tea stops; and perhaps to explore a historic site, admire a view, or go for a swim. Each beano is based at a brilliant venue including a Georgian mansion, a Victorian country retreat, and a comfortable eco-centre with its own lake and the best view from a bike shed ever! Ace cooks provide delicious vegetarian cuisine. Home-grown organic fruit & veg, Fairtrade, and local produce are used whenever possible. You don't have to be a vegetarian to enjoy a beano, lots of non-veggies keep coming back because they like our food (meat and veggie meals are available at the lunch stops). Bicycle Beano Cycling Holidays is Jane Barnes & Rob Green. 2011 will be our 30th season! So come and join us on a Bicycle Beano, relax and enjoy.
Bicycle Beano Cycling Holidays – green holidays for 29 years! Footnote: we chose to run our cycling holidays only from May to July in 2010 so we could have August and September free to paint the house and enjoy the fruits of our garden. This is the first August we've had off since 1983. Beanoers have already started booking for 2011. © Bicycle Beano™ | Updated
